What is Frozen shoulder?
Frozen shoulder, also called adhesive capsulitis, causes pain and stiffness in the shoulder. Overtime, the shoulder become very hard to move.
About 2% of the general population. It most commonly affects people between the ages of 40 and 60, and occurs in women more often than men.
Anatomy
The shoulder joint is mobile and complex, serving as the functional link between the upper limb and trunk.
The shoulder complex comprises four component
- Sternoclavicular joint
- Acromioclavicular joint
- Scapulothoracic joint
- Glenohumeral joint
