I am writing this letter in response to the international exchange program sponsored by XXXXXX. My name is XXX, Lee and I am grateful to have this opportunity to draw up a statement of academic purpose for my studies, XXXX. Ever since I enrolled in the college, I have always dreamed of studying at XXXXXX because I believe that the foreign exchange student program will have a positive influence on my life and my career in near future. I am confident that my qualifications are an ideal match for your needs and expectation.
As the old saying goes, “One can see what one knows and one can feel what one sees.” I know this proverb well through my experiences and activities, which has made a great impact on my life. I have always tried to acquire an extensive experience in a variety of fields and to do my best to be faithful to this principle. Accordingly, I made great efforts to improve my English skills by taking lectures such as English Speaking, English Reading & Grammar, English Listening & Writing with high grades as well as I strove to do well in my major. Besides, during every summer/winter break, I studied the TOEFL in order to prepare for exchange program. As a result, I was able to obtain the score to apply for the exchange program at XXXXXX. This, certainly, is a precious opportunity that I always look forward to. And there are a number of reasons why I choose XXXXXXand spend my next semester in Oxford, OH.
