Why is usability such an important factor in the design of interface? In the world of technological age we interact with interface everyday, yet the use of ease does not come naturally. Although many people from diverse fields have strived to solve this problem for many years, usability issues still remains unsolved because interface we use today was not designed to be used intuitively. This paper is a study on the reasons of this phenomena in a fundamental level. By looking at the systems we use today we can realize that the interaction between human and computer was designed out of context. Social and cultural context can change the way we interact with interface and will allow designers to design a natural interacting interface. To make this possible the process of design must change as well as the role of designers. Designers will not only have to consider the aesthetics of the design but also has to analyze and understand the social and cultural context in which the interface is used.
