The purposes of this study are to identify definition of learning skills and to investgate concrete constitutive factors of learning skills. To achieve this purpose effectively, learning skills were defined as the effective use of appropriate techniques for completing a leaning task. In other words, learning skills are those competences associated with acquiring, recording, organizing, synthesizing, remembering, and using information and ideas found in school.As the results of this study, factors of constitution in learning skills were explored as Self-Management Skills, Listening and Participating Skills in Class, Doing Reading Assignments and Writing a School Paper Skills, Taking Test Skills, and Information- Processing Skills.
In conclusion, the lower-factors of each learning skills were suggested as follows:
First, Self-Management Skills; organizing materials and space, managing time, managing stress(mental alertness, anxiety control, physical fitness, positive self-concept), getting helps etc..
Second, Listening and Participating Skills; class participating skills(maintaing regular class attendance, reading assignments before class, staying alert in class, etc.), note-taking skills(using teacher cues, using definitions and examples, taking paraphrase notes, writing legible notes, etc.).
Third, Doing Reading Assignment and Writing a School Paper Skills; prereading study skills, note taking and underlining, comprehension monitoring and enhancing, reading strategies, specifying the paper topic, generating ideas, drafting the paper, revising the paper and so forth.
Fourth, Taking Test Skills; content review skills, time management skills, testwiseness skills, psychological coping skills(using relaxation techniques, using positive thinking, etc.).
Fifth, Informantion-Processing Skills; rehearsal skills, using elaboration, organization strategies, using comprehension monitoring, motivational srategies and so forth.
