The purpose of this writing was to diagnose gymnastic teaching ability of elemenraty school preservice teachers(ESPT). It is very important for ESPT to get gymnastic skills in elementary school education classes. Because gymnstic activities are at once more allocated amount than others and very dangerous. This ethnography designed by Mathison's (1998) triangulation. Therefore, mathods are composed od participant observation , in-depth interview, and data of gymnastic skill evaluations. Subjects of the evaluatios were 128 ESPt(freshman). but focused partivipants of the observation and the interview were each 1 (age 19 years) by genter. According to results , ESPT's gymnastic teaching abilities were not enough for their successful teaching in gymnastic instructions of elementary school. Because ESPT's skill levels on mat exercise (floor exercise), vaulting horse, blabce beam were very low, especially their physical strength in order to perform horizontal bar were serous insufficient. In conclusion, such poor gymnastic skills of ESPT are due to the teachers' college and the college of education. Partivulary it is necessary that the college of education for elemenraty school teacher training should increase the gymnastic lecture or divide the entrance examination .
