본 연구는 장애 영ㆍ유아의 성공적인 통합교육을 위하여 기관장, 교사, 가족을 위한 구체적인 통합 지원 프로그램을 개발하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 통합교육을 경험해본 기관장, 교사, 장애 영ㆍ유아 학부모를 대상으로 한 1차 요구도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 기관장은 통합교육에 대한 전문성과 리더쉽을 신장시켜줄 수 있는 기관장을 대상으로 하는 연수를 요구하였으며, 교사는 통합학급을 운영하면서 발생하는 문제와 의문에 대한 전문가 집단의 조언과 동료교사와의 구체적인 협력 방법을 요구하였다. 마지막으로 장애 영ㆍ유아 학부모는 가족 모임의 결성과 활성화를 요구하였으며, 장애 영ㆍ유아의 일상생활에 초점을 두어 교사와 정기적인 대화를 갖기를 요구하였다. 이와 같은 지원요구에 기초하여 개발한 프로그램의 내용은 다음과 같다.
기관장을 위한 지원 프로그램은 통합교육에 대한 이해, 통합기관의 운영실제, 교사교육과 교사 지원방법, 가족지원, 지역사회와의 협력을 주제로 15시간 수행할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 교사를 위한 지원 프로그램 내용은 연수, 기관방문, 전문가지원, 교사 간 협력으로 구성하였다. 가족을 위한 지원 프로그램 내용은 부모교육, 가정연계 워크숍, 어머니 모임, 아버지 모임, 가족 나들이, 형제자매 지원을 포함한 연간 계획으로 구성하였다.
영어 초록
This study aimed to develop a supportive program for the inclusion of the special needs in childhood education. The program was for supporting principals, teachers, and families who were involved in the inclusive early childhood educational program. For this study, we interviewed the principals, the child educators, and the parents of the special need children and analysed the data to explore what their actual difficulties and needs were. After considering all the factors, we developed the following program elements specific to each group of principles, teachers, and famillies: The supportive program for the principals is designed as a 15 hour job training with the contents of the meaning and the teaching practice of inclusive education, ways how to support teachers and the families with the special need children, ways how to cooperate with the communities. For teachers, the program is constituted of job trainings, visits of the successful child care centers running an integrated program, consultations with the specialists, and cooperations with colleagues. The supportive program for the families includes the parent education, the workshops connecting the families, the mother-group meetings, the father-group meetings, family picnics, and the support for the siblings of the special need children.
