본 연구는 시각장애 중학생의 컴퓨터 교육 활성화를 위해 시각장애 중학생의 컴퓨터 교육 성취도 및 인식 연구를 실시했다. 이를 위해 전국 시각장애학교에 재학 중인 164명의 중학생을 대상으로 컴퓨터 교과 성취도 17문항과 컴퓨터 교육 인식수준 12문항 등 총 29문항의 설문지를 이용하여 제7차 교육과정이 지향하는 컴퓨터 교육목표와 실제 학생들의 컴퓨터 학습 목적을 비교하여 컴퓨터 교육목표의 성취도 및 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 인식수준을 분석했다. 따라서 성, 학년, 시각장애 정도, 시각장애 발생시기 등 학생 배경변인별로 컴퓨터의 주된 사용 장소, 컴퓨터의 주된 사용 용도, 컴퓨터의 평균 사용시간, 교사의 컴퓨터 수업 지도형태 등의 환경 분석을 실시했다. 다음으로 시각장애학생의 7차 교육과정에 따른 컴퓨터 교육목표에 관한 성취도를 알아보기 위해 인간과 컴퓨터, 컴퓨터의 기초, 워드프로세서, PC통신과 인터넷, 멀티미디어의 5개 영역에서 하위 내용별 성취도를 분석했다. 또한 컴퓨터 교육에 관한 인식수준을 알아보기 위해 컴퓨터 수업에 대한 관심도, 이해도, 참여도, 만족도에 따른 성취도 그리고 필요성 인식과 실용성 인식에 따른 성취도를 분석했으며 마지막으로 컴퓨터 교육에 관한 인식수준과 성취도의 상관관계를 분석했다. 이와 함께 후속연구가 필요한 사항들을 제언에 제시했다.

영어 초록

This study has come to a conclusion from analyzing the accomplishment of the oriented computer educational objectives in the 7th education curriculum and the accomplishment on the cognitional level about the computer education and the correlation in the cognition level of accomplishment of computer education, after the middle school students at school for the visually impaired surveyed with the inquiry of the computer educational environments, to afford the data to program the suitable computer education.
The summary is as follows:
First, the visually impaired students usually use the computer for the information retrieval and they do the computer for 1-2hours a day on the average.
Second, the male students achieve better than the female students and the low vision students achieve better than the visually impaired and the third grade students do better than any other grade in the majority parts of the computer subject.
Third, the highly recognizing students achieve better in many areas on the interst level, the understanding level, the satisfaction level, the necessity and the practicality of their computer lessons.
Fourth, the results show to be more positive in the correlation between the accomplishments that the students achieve in the chapter of computer subject; the man and computer, the basic computer, the pc communications and internet; and the cognitional level of the interest, the understanding, the satisfaction, the necessity and the practicality. Also, accomplishments of the word processors in the chapters of one are more positives in the correlation with the cognitional level on the understandings, the participation, the necessity and the practicality. The accomplishments of the multimedia in the computer subject are more positives in the correlation with the cognitional level on the understandings, the necessity and the practicality.
