대학교육의 교수 • 학습과정에서 수업효과 향상을 통한 교육의 책무성 확립과 교직개발의 관점에서 학생에 의한 강의평가에 대환 관심이 높아가고 있다. 대학교육올 포항한 학교교육의 효과를 향상시키려는 많은 노력에도 풀구하고， 현채 우라 나라 대학에서 강의명가를 통한 대학교육의 효과성 향상올 위한 체계적인 연구는 마홉한 실정이다， 대학에서 강의평가를 수업활동의 질을 개선하여 교육의 효과성 제고를 위한 노력과 연결시켜볼 째， 교사의 교직수행놓력올 향상시키기 위한 명가연구가 다양한 이론적 근거와 배경에 기초하여 수행될 필요가 있고， 이들 결과들은 실제 교육현장에서 정험연구를 바탕으로 그 타당성올 검증 받아야 환다. 본 연구는 교수설계 이론에 근거하여 대학 강의명가도구개발에 필요한 이론적 기초를 탐색하고자 합야 그 목적이다. 먼져， 문헌연구를 통하여 강의평가를 위한 수업활동과 관련되는 13개 영역의 평가범주를 종합 • 분류하였으며，다음으로， 이들 범주를 기초로 현째 우리 나라 대학에서 사용하고 있는 33개의 강의평가도구를 수집 • 분석하였으며， 마지막으로 평가범주별 표본평가문항올 발혜 • 제시하였다.강의평가 도구의 분석결과， 대부분의 명가도구는 부분척인 명가범주를 사용하고 있으며，특정 명가법주는 평가도구에서 거의 사용되고 있지 않는 실청 이다. 강의평가 목적에 따라 관련 평가범주를 선핵하여 명7t과정에 사용하고， 교수 • 학습과정 향상에 평가결과를유용하게 활용함으로써 강의명가는 대학교육의 수월성올 추구하기 위한 교육의 책무성확보와 교직개발의 도구로 사용되어 교육력 신장에 이바지 할 것으로 기대된다.

Empowering learners to take resjXlnsibility for their own learning is the ultimate goal ofeducation. Effective teaching is a multidimensional construcl In order to provide measuresof distinct components of teaching effectiveness, students' evaluations of teaching effectivenessshould be designed to reflect various dimensions of effective teaching. Involving studentsin the evaluation process helps them to reflect on what has OOen learned and howthe teachingjlearning process has been improved. Student feedback converted into teachingimprovement increases instructors' effectivene&<>. The purposes of the present study were toidentify the dimensions of information sought using course evaluation in the university, toanalyze the instruments for students' perceptions of teacher teaching, and to collect exemplaryitems for developing evaluation questionnaires.Teacher evaluation on teaching is a complex activity. Multiple dimensions of teaching callfor integrative analysis and evaluation. Based upon an extensive literature review, thirteendimensions for course evaluation were identified and classified by purposes: (1) course objective/oontent; (2) information for learner's prerequisite; (3) classroom environment; (4)preparation and organization; (5) breadth of ooverage/workload; (6) design of teachingmethods; (7) development and utilimtion of media; (8) teacher's competence for teaching;(9) classroom activities; (10) assignment/feedback to students; (11) fairness of grading;(12) overall evaluation; and (13) recommendations for course improvemenl Most evaluationforms have 5-7 dimensions to measure students' perception on teachers' teachingactivities. There were few evaluation forms to measure and evaluate teaching effectivenesswith extensive dimensions.With the increased emphasis on the accolHltability of an instructor's teaching in the lHliversity,student evaluations are a valuable, viable, and necessary indicator of teaching effectiveness. The use of student ratings of instructional quality is enhanced by an ooderstandingof the nature of the underlying dimensions. The measurement of students' perceptionsof instructor performance has been increasing used as a mapr component in teaching evaluationto help students in their selection of courses, to provide feedback to faculty abouttheir teaching, and to supply information for administrators and personnel committees intheir deliberations on the promotion and tenure of individual faculty membel'S- Thus, if studentevaluation of teacher's teaching is to re acx::urate and fair with appropriate dimensionsfor course evaluation, it could contribute to improve the proress of teaching and learningwith teachers' professional development
