본 연구는 정보의 순차처리 훈련과 동시처리 훈련이 지적장애아동의 연산 능력과 측정 능력에 미치는 영향을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 선정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정보의 순차처리 훈련과 동시처리 훈련이 지적장애아동의 연산 능력에 미치는 영향이 무엇인가? 둘째, 정보의 순차처리 훈련과 동시처리 훈련이 지적장애아동의 측정 능력에 미치는 영향이 무엇인가? 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정보의 순차처리 훈련이 연산에 어려움을 보이는 지적장애아동들의 연산에 유용한 인지훈련 방법이라고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 정보의 동시처리 훈련이 지적장애아동의 양에 대한 측정 감각을 향상시켜 보다 높은 측정 능력을 갖도록 하는데 적합한 인지훈련 방법이라고 볼 수 있다. 이상에서와 같이 정보의 순차처리 훈련은 동시처리 훈련보다 지적장애아동의 연산 능력을 향상시키는데 효과적인 인지훈련 방법이며, 정보의 동시처리 훈련은 순차처리 훈련에 비해 지적장애아동의 측정 능력을 향상시키는데 매우 효과적인 인지훈련 방법이라고 할 수 있다.

영어 초록

"The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects training in Successive Processes and Simultaneous Processes of information on computation ability and measurement ability of children with intellectual disabilities. In order to accomplish such purpose, the research questions were established as follows. First, how much different effects are made by training in Successive and Simultaneous Processes of information on computation ability of children with intellectual disabilities? Second, how much different effects are made by training in Successive and Simultaneous Processes of information on measurement ability of children with intellectual disabilities? The results of this study are as follows. First, Simultaneous Processes training of information can be seen to be an useful cognitive training methods of the computation in instructing children with intellectual disabilities who have difficulties in computation. Second, it can be said Simultaneous Processes training of information enhanced the measurement sense of quantity of children with intellectual disabilities and can be seen as an appropriate and cognitive training methods to have a measurement ability of a higher order. As above, the children with intellectual disabilities were trained by the Successive Processes of information scored over the other group that were trained by Simultaneous Processes of information on the computation ability. Also, the children with intellectual disabilities were trained by the Simultaneous Processes scored over the other group that were trained by Successive Processes of information on the measurement ability.
