본 연구는 학교부적응 중학생을 위한 생태체계관점의 진로탐색 프로그램을 개발하고 개발한 프로그램의 효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 프로그램 구안을 위하여 박인우(1995)의 체계적 프로그램 모형과 PIE모형에 기초하여 기획단계의 조사와 분석, 설계단계, 실행단계의 구안 및 적용, 평가단계를 거쳤다. 개발된 프로그램의 각 단계별 내용에 대하여 전문가들의 내용타당성을 검증받았으며, 대상자들의 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙도 향상 및 질적 평가를 토대로 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 용인시의 S, Y중학교와 성남시의 J중학교의 학교부적응 학생 48명을 대상으로 각각 실험집단과 통제집단에 24명씩 무선배정 하였으며 3개월여에 걸쳐 연구자가 직접 실행하였다. 초기개발프로그램의 1, 2차 시행 후에 연구자와 관찰자 및 관련전문가의 피드백을 통해 수정 보완하여 최종프로그램을 구안하였으며, 실행하였다. 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙도의 효과성 검증을 위해서 맨-휘트니 U검증을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생태체계관점의 진로탐색 프로그램의 개발절차와 과정이 타당한 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 개발된 프로그램에 참여한 집단은 참여하지 않은 집단과의 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로성숙도 변화에 있어서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 생태체계관점의 진로탐색 프로그램은 학교부적응 중학생들이 자신의 진로를 탐색하고 준비하면서 학교생활변화에 긍정적 영향을 줄 수 있다는 사실을 뒷받침해 준다.

"The purpose of this study was to develop a career search program based on the ecological system perspective for maladjusted middle school students and to verify the efficacy of the program. In order to develop the program, we went through planning, program design, execution, and evaluation stages based on the PIE model and systematic program model of Park(1995).
The content validity of the developed program was verified by experts, and we tested the efficacy of the program on the basis of career decision making self-efficacy, career maturity, and other qualitative evaluations.
The efficacy of the developed program was tested utilizing 48 maladjusted students from S, Y middle school in Yongin city and J middle school in Sungnam city. The subjects were randomly assigned in equal number into experimental and control group, and the first author directly ran the whole program for 3 months.
After executing the first and second sessions of the initial program, we revised and supplemented the program with feedback from the inquirer, observers and related experts and we executed the last of the program.
We carried out Mann-Whitney U-test to verify the efficacy of the program utilizing the outcome measures of career decision making self-efficacy and career maturity. The main results of this study are as follows;
First, we assured that the developed career search program for the maladjusted middle school students was appropriate.
Second, there were statistically significant differences in change scores of the career decision making self-efficacy and career maturity between the students who participated and didn't participate in the developed career search program.
Therefore, the results of this study underpinned that the ecological systematic perspective career search program had positive effects on the attitude changes toward school life for the maladjusted middle school students by helping them search and prepare their career more effectively.
