This study conducted a survey on teachers' perception and the status of science education in twoinstitutions: kindergarten and childcare center. A total of 204 in-service teachers participated in thissurvey through responding to a questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: the status andthe teachers’ recognition on science education. The collected data were analyzed according to teacher’svariables: type of institution, teaching experience, and their level of education. In the results, there weresignificant differences according to teacher’s variables. These results can be used to further improveteacher education and to activate science education.
