Objectives or purposes:
Among many other factors, teachers play the deciding role in ensuring quality of education. Thus, Policymakers strongly recommend accountability of teachers to preserve and conserve students accessing quality. With other suggested measures, 'Student Evaluation of Teachers' is strongly recommended, as students are the direct beneficiaries. Keeping in view the contribution of age and experience of a teacher, the present research has main objectives: to study evaluation of Higher Secondary School Teachers vis-à-vis age and experience in the dimensions of 'teacher effectiveness'.

Perspective(s) or theoretical framework:
With the slogan "Education for All", the schools are mushrooming in every comer of India. As a result, there is a positive surge of quantity of education without giving importance to the quality. This serious concern makes policy makers to review and suggest measures for ensuring quality in academia. It is recommended strongly that teachers should be accountable for the deteriorating quality.

Methods, techniques or modes of inquiry
From randomly selected 17 schools in Varanasi (India), a sample of 1711 Higher Secondary school students made to rate 93 teachers. To pool evaluation from students, a 'Teacher Rating Form' had been used used. For statistical analysis, F-test and post hoc tests was used with suitable descriptive statistics.

Data sources or evidence:
Data is taken from 17 Higher secondary school students from the urban area of Varanasi (India).

Results and/or conclusions/Implications
The result shows that there is a significant effect of age as well as experiences of the teachers over the dimensions of 'Teacher Effectiveness'. The results aptly reveal that teachers show declining effectiveness as they reach fag end of their profession. This strongly draws attention that their knowledge and skills acquired during years of teaching has to be utilized before they loose their interest towards the profession.
