한국어 초록

세계는 고도의 과학기술과 정보통신의 발달로 어느 시대보다 경제적 풍요와 정치적 자유로움을 누리며 살아가고 있다. 하지만 더욱 빠르게 발전하고 변화하는 국내외 사회적 흐름 속에서 빈부 격차는 커지고 소외되고 있는 계층은 늘어나는 요즘 다시 화두가 되는 단어는 ‘행복’이다. 과거에 비해 경제적 풍요로움과 과학기술로 안정되고 물리적으로 편리한 삶을 살아가고 있지만 스스로는 고립되고 각박한 사회 속에서 현대인의 정신적인 스트레스는 다른 질병을 유발한다. 이러한 이유 때문인지 ‘행복’이란 단어를 넣은 도서는 베스트셀러가 되고 도시 이름에까지 쓰이는 경우가 많다. 이는 모든 사람들이 궁극적으로는 ‘행복’을 추구하는 삶을 살고 싶은 이유일 것이다. 그러면 사람들이 행복한 삶을 누리기 위해서는 무엇이 필요한가? 인간이 행복한 삶을 누리기 위해서는 물질적·경제적 요건과 함께 정신적·문화적 요소가 적절히 충족되어야한다. 그렇기 때문에 물질적 풍요에 한발 더 나아가 요즘 들어 문화예술의 중요성이 그 어느 때 보다도 강조 되고 있는 것이다.

영어 초록

The twenty-first century we live in is the culturally oriented era where
cultural values have become qualitative values in life. We live in the twenty-first
century that is an era in which all values of life are culturally oriented and
become qualitative. Moreover, every citizen is even given an opportunity to
life-long learning of culture and arts according to his or her own interest and
aptitude, regardless of age, gender, social status, physical conditions, regions and
the presence of disabilities. In this respect, it can be said that art museum is a
place of life-long learning and cultural education, and art museum education
programs can be psychological and cultural elements for educating all people
involving children with any disabilities.
Especially for children with disability who have a difficulty accessing the
advantages that art museums provide the basis for the education which utilizes the
actual art works, contributing to the cognitive and emotional development in
children. The reason for it is that there is a lack of facilities and educational
programs for the children with disability.
This study has examined Korea’s cultural and welfare policies and art
museum education programs to explore the reality of art museum education related
to children with disability in Korea and overseas.
The aim of this examination is to provide the basis for revitalizing art
museum education programs for children with disability. In addition to this, this
research art museum education programs would provide the direction toward social
equality for all children who are not matter of any disabilities, even in “Special
Needs”.
