본 연구에서는 대표강점활용 긍정개입프로그램을 통해 발달장애아동 어머니들의 삶의 만족, 행복, 그리고 양육효능감을 향상시키고자 하였다. 수도권 소재 특수교육지원청의 서비스를 받고 있는 발달장애아동
어머니 가운데 연구의 취지를 밝히고 협조를 얻어 참여의사를 밝힌 20인 중 집단의 동질성 확보를 위해
인구사회학적 변인을 고려하여 10인은 실험집단에, 10인은 무처치 대기집단에 할당하였다. 프로그램은 주 1
회 총 8주간 8회기 진행되었으며, 1회기 당 3시간동안 진행되었다. 실험집단과 무처치 통제집단 모두 각 1
인씩의 탈락자가 발생하여 최종 18인의 자료가 분석되었으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선 삶의 만족도,
행복도, 그리고 양육효능감척도의 총점비교에서 대표강점활용 긍정개입프로그램에 참여한 발달장애아동 어
머니들의 무처치 대기집단 발달장애아동 어머니들에 비해 모두 유의하게 향상되었다. 하위요인별로 구체적
으로 살펴보면, ‘적극적으로 참여하는 삶’의 효과가 가장 컸으며, ‘즐거운 삶’ 그리고 ‘의미 있는 삶’의 순서
로 효과가 나타났다. 양육효능감척도의 하위요인별로 살펴보면, ‘전반적 효능감’이 가장 효과적인 것으로 나
타났으며, ‘건강양육능력’, ‘의사소통능력’의 순으로 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이에, 본 연구는 대표강점활
용 긍정개입프로그램이 발달장애아동 어머니들의 삶의 만족과 행복, 그리고 양육효능감 증진에 효과적임을
밝혀내었다는 데 의의가 있다.
영어 초록
The present study is to test the effectiveness of positive intervention program utilizing signaturestrengths for developmentally disabled children’s mothers. It was intended to help mothers of
developmentally disabled children identify their own signature strengths and utilize them in daily life
and therefore, to enhance mothers’ life satisfaction, happiness and parenting effectiveness. 18 mothers
of disabled children were recruited and allocated randomly into experimental group or controlled
group. Mothers of experimental group were delivered with 8-session positive intervention program
utilizing signature strengths once a week for eight weeks. All participants completed the scales
employed for this study such as Satisfaction with Life Scales(SWLS), Positive Psychotherapy
Inventory(PPTI), and Parental Effectiveness Scale (PES) across pretest and posttest.
The result of study showed that life satisfaction, happiness and parental effectiveness of
experimental group were increased significantly compared to controlled group. Therefore, this study
identified the effectiveness of the positive intervention program utilizing signature strengths for
mothers of developemntally disabled children.
