한국어 초록

하이데거의 기초존재론에서 존재이해를 가지고 있는 현존재는 가장
핵심적인 개념이다. 그리고 하이데거가 현존재 분석에서 데카르트에 의
해 마련된 근대 철학적 토대인 (이론적인)의식을 현존재로 대체한다는
사실은 잘 알려져 있다. 그러나 그동안의 연구에서 의식과 근본적으로
구분되는 현존재의 특징에 대해서는 심도 있게 탐구되지 않았다. 이 논
문에서 우리는 현존재의 근본적인 특징이 무엇인지를 현존재의 실천적
인 행동관계에 초점을 맞추어 밝혀보고자 한다.
현존재와 주위세계의 관계를 분석하는 데 있어서 하이데거는 현존재
가 일차적으로 주위세계의 사물들을 “실천적인 행동관계”에서 만난다고
주장한다. 그리고 현존재의 “행동관계”에서 드러나는 사물들은 “존재자
(ontos)”도 아니고 근대 철학적 개념인 “대상(object)”도 아니다. 현존
재의 주위세계에 만나는 사물들은 “실용적인 사물”(pragmata)이며, “무
엇을 하기 위한 어떤 것(um-zu)”으로 규정된 “실용적인 사물”은 이론
적인 대상들처럼 서로 고립되어 있지 않고 서로 연결되어 있다. 그리고
주위세계에서 만나는 실용적인 사물들은 구체적인 목적기능에 의해 질
서지어졌는데, 그 이유는 현존재가 “그 때문에(Um-willen)”에 의해 규
정되기 때문이다. 따라서 현존재 분석에서 인간과 사물의 관계는 데카
르트의 경우처럼 “cogito”와 “extensio”가 아니라 “Um-willen”과
“um-zu”로 규정되는데, 이 관계는 현존재의 실천적인 행동에서 규명될
수 있다.
더 나아가 현존재의 실천적인 행동이 의식보다 근원적인 이유는 실
천적인 행동에서 이루어지는 “실용적인 사물의 이해”는 의식에서가 아
니라 세계 속에서 발원하기 때문이다. 이론적인 이해에서는 사물이 항
상 개별적인 대상으로 규정되며 이 대상은 의식에 환원되는 데 반해
“실용적인 사물”(도구)에 관계하는 현존재의 실천적인 이해에서는 하나
의 개별적인 도구를 이해하기 위해서는 세계 속에 있는 도구 전체성이
먼저 파악되어야 한다. 그리고 도구 전체성은 세계 속에 이미 있기 때
문에 현존재의 실천적인 이해는 의식을 선행하는 세계에서 발원한다.

영어 초록

In Heidegger's fundamental ontology, Dasein that has a understanding of
Being is one of most important concepts. And it is well-known that by
the concept of Dasein Heidegger seeks provide a new foundation of
beings that replaces the modern philosophical foundation based on the
concept of "consciousness." However, what is not thoroughly investigated
in previous researches in Heidegger's philosophy is the distinctive
characteristics of Dasein that is not found in the feature of consciousness.
In this paper, we want to argue that in contrast to the theoretical
consciousness, the distinctive characteristic of Dasein lies in its practical
comportment.
In dealing with the environment of Dasein Heidegger insists that Dasein
proximally encounters things in the practical comportment. And these
things are not defined as "beings(ontos)" not "objects." Rather, these are
determined as "useful things(pragmata)" whose essential structure consists
in "in-order-to." Since "useful things" are determined as
"in-order-to(Um-zu)" they are always interconnected with other things and
consequently they are never given as an isolated thing. Furthermore,
"useful things" in the environment consists in the teleological structure and
this structure is derived from "for-sake-of(Um-willen)" of Dasen. Hence in
Heidegger's fundamental ontology, the relation between man and things is
defined not as the relation between "cogito" and "extensio" as in the
philosophy of Descartes but as the relation between "Um-zu" and
"Um-willen" that can be clarified in the practical comportment of Dasein.
For Heidegger, the practical comportment of Dasein is more primordial
than the theoretical relation because the practical understanding of "useful
things" takes place not in consciousness but in the world. In the
theoretical relation, an object is always experienced as an isolated object
that is eventually reduced to consciousness, the practical comportment
always presupposes the contexture of things that is already exists in the
world. Since the practical comportment is concerned with the contexture of
useful things in the world, its understanding originates in the world. In
this sense, Dasein whose essence revealed in the practical comportment
refers to the new foundation of beings that is beyond consciousness
because it provides a ground for useful things situated in outside of
consciousness.
