GBS instructional design paradigm, which is renowned for its rigor for developmentof high?quality, high?transferable courseware, attracts instructional designers' keenattention. In this context, the study tries to empirically investigate how effective theGBS model is when applied to e learning courseware. Based on the findings fromthe investigation, the researcher pursued for the practical and theoretical implicationsfor colleague instructional design practitioners. To pursue these two purposes, theresearcher conducted two separate studies. Initially, the researcher examined whichfactors had influenced on the learners' satisfaction and performance. 157 studentswere sampled and answered to the survey instruments. Multiple regression tests wereutilized for the analysis of data. Secondly, for further investigation on the reasonsthat could have resulted in the findings, the researcher conducted post?hoc qualitativeresearch, mainly based on semi structured interviews with the learners and tutors.
