본 연구의 목적은 인천 초등 지역공동 발명영재학급의 운영 및 교육프로그램 실태를 분석하는 것
이다.인천지역 5․6학년 초등학생을 대상으로 하는 지역공동 발명영재학급을 운영하는 9개 학교
중 강화교육지원청을 제외한 동부,서부,남부 및 북부교육지원청 별 1개교를 선택하여 4개교의 운
영계획서를 분석하였다.또한 발명영재교육의 내용표준에 따라 교육프로그램 내용을 분석하였으며,
그 외 필요한 내용은 담당교사와의 면담을 통해 보완하였다.지역공동 발명영재학급 운영 현황의
분석 결과는 다음과 같다.첫째,영재학급 운영 목적 및 방침,학부모 연수,교사 선발 조건,행․
재정적 지원 현황은 제시되어 있다.둘째,앞에서 명확히 제시된 항목에 비해 영재교육의 수요자인
학생 관련 항목의 관리 체계가 구체적으로 수립되어 있지 않았다.다음으로 발명영재교육의 내용
표준에 의해 분석한 결과 4개교 모두 발명이해,리더십,융합,발명문제해결,지식재산권 총 5개의
대영역 중 융합 영역의 교육프로그램이 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었으며,리더십과 지식재산
권 영역의 비중이 낮았다.담당교사와의 면담 결과 체계적이고 효과적인 발명영재교육의 시행을
위해서는 교육프로그램의 질적 향상과 교육을 실제적으로 담당하는 지도교사의 자질 향상을 위한
연수 기회의 확대가 필요하다.

영어 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze management plan and education program for invention gifted elementary school classes. We analyze management plans and education programs of four schools for , which belongs to four regional education office. Also, interviewed with teachers of elementary invention gifted classes to clarify the status of management and educational programs. The results of this study were as follows: First, the management plans included operational goals and policies, plans for training of parents, conditions for selecting teachers and the status of administrative and financial support. Second, despite the clear delineation of operation, they did not include specific management system for students in comparison to other consideration listed above. Next, the results of an analysis based on standards of educational contents for invention gifted showed that, among the major criteria of understanding, leadership, STEAM, invention-related problem solving and intellectual property rights, STEAM contents occupied the largest share of educational programs, with the intellectual property rights being the lowest in share. In the results of interviews with teachers, teachers claimed that, for more systematic and effective implementation of education of gifted inventors, enhancement of quality of education programs and more training opportunities for teachers to improve their skills were necessary. In conclusion, the research concluded that there is a need for systematic management of students with gift, development and operation of educational programs specifically for students with inventing gifts differentiated from education programs for gifted students and expansion of opportunities for enhancement of qualities of teachers who operate these classes.
