社會 敎育 次元에서의 漢字․漢文 敎育의 實態와 課題

한국어 초록

사회교육이라 함은 다른 법률에 의한 학교교육을 제외하고 국민의 평생교육을 위한 모든 형태의 조직적인 교육활동으로 개인 또는 공동체 생활의 상황 흐름 속에서 즉각적으로 가치화되고 있는 학습을 생산하는것이다. 이 범주에는 방송과 언론 매체를 활용한 것과 사회(평생) 교육원, 사설 학원 등의 교육 기관에서 이루어지는 것, 학습지와 인터넷 컨텐츠를 이용한 것 등이 모두 포함되는데 다만 조직성․의도성․체계성이 미약한 우연적 교육과 무형식 교육은 제외된다. 시청각자료를 통한 학습은 학습자의 흥미를 환기시키고 그들의 주의를 집중시킬 수 있기 때문에 강한 학습 동기를 유발하여 학습자로 하여금 자발적이고 능동적인 학습에 임할 수 있도록 한다. 또 학습자의 질과 양의 폭을 넓혀서 학습의 효율화를 도모하고 학습 결과를 오래 기억할 수 있도록 하며 정확한 사고를 할 수 있도록 도와주기도 한다. 이를 통해 볼 때 방송 매체를 활용한 한자․한문 교육은 사회 교육 차원의 한자․한문 교육의 목표를 성취하는 데 더없이 효과적이라 하겠다. 다만 교육 방송을 통해 제공되는 다양한 한자․한문 교육 관련 프로그램은 학습자의 수준과 흥미를 고려하여 보다 체계적으로 조직될 필요가 있으며, 정규 교육 과정기의 학생을 대상으로 한 프로그램의 경우 한문과 교육 내용 체계를 고려하여 이를 보완할 수 있는 프로그램으로 짜여졌으면 한다. 평생(사회) 교육원은 많은 성인들에게 배움의 기회를 확대하여 그들의 지적․문화적 수준을 높이고, 직업적․사회적 능력을 향상시키는데 기여하고 있다. 평생(사회) 교육원을 통해 이루어지는 한자․한문 교육 프로그램은 자격증 취득 과정에 개설된 한자(한문)지도사과정과 四書나 『古文眞寶』등의 동양 고전을 내용으로 한 교양 강좌가 있다. 그러나 교양 강좌는 학습자의 수준이 다르고 요구 사항이 달라 체계적이고 일관되게 강의를 진행하지 못하였으며, 자격증 취득 과정은 목표 달성을 위해 필요한 절대 時數부족으로 효율성에 회의를 갖게 하였다. 까닭에 명확한 교육 목표를 설정과 교육 목표를 달성을 위한 보다 체계적 프로그램이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 私設機關의 한자․한문 교육 프로그램은 정규 교육과정과 연계된것도 있고 각각의 독자적 프로그램도 있다. 체계화된 이들 프로그램은 사회 교육 차원에서의 한자․한문 교육의 역할을 비교적 충실히 수행하고 있다고 하겠다. 그러나 몇몇 프로그램의 경우 수업 방식에서 개선의 여지가 있는데 이를 잘 보완한다면 정규 교육의 보완 형태로 훌륭한 역할 수행이 될 것으로 보인다. 사회 교육이 시공간적 제약을 넘어 개인이나 공동체 생활 속에서 이를 필요로 하는 개인이나 집단에게 즉각적 가치로 제공되는 것이지만 정규 교과 과정의 보완이라는 현실적 상황도 도외시할 수는 없을 것이다. 까닭에 이를 교육하는 당사자나 학습하는 사람은 한문과 교과 내용 체계에 대한 이해와 한자․한문 교육을 통해 이루게 될 실제적 가치를 아울러 구현할 수 있는 방향을 모색해야 할 것이다.

영어 초록

Social Education produces learning of immediate value as all kinds of organizational education activities for lifelong education under the circumstance of individual and community with the exception of school education by other laws. This category includes the use of broadcasting and mass media, lifelong education of a society, education of private institute, and the use of Learning material and contents. However, unexpected education and informal education, which are insufficient in the organization, intention, and systemization, are excluded. On the Account that learning through Audio and Video Education Aids evokes the interest of learners and attracts their attention, it encourages learning motive of leaners and leads them to the voluntary and active learning. In addition, it promotes efficiency of learning by enlarging the breadth of quality and quantity of learners, long distance memorization of learning result, and accurate thinking. In this regard, the education of Chinese Character and Writing can be said to be effective in accomplishing the goal of Chinese Character and Writing Learning in terms of Social Education. Various Chinese Character and Writing Education programs, offered by education broadcasting need to be systematically organized in consideration of leaners' level and interest. Especially, in case of program towards students of regular education courses, the programs, which can be complemented in the Chinese Character and Education Contents and Systems, should be established. Lifelong Education Institute enlarges the opportunity of learning to many adults, enhances their intellectual and cultural level, and contributes to develop their ability in vocational and social ability. There are instructor cultivating Course of Chinese Character, opened in the License Acquirement, History Book, and Eastern Classics like 『Gu Wen Zhen Bao』in Chinese Character and Writing programs through lifelong education institute(Society). However, on the grounds that the level of learners and their requirements are different in Educational programs, systematic and consistent lecture is not properly processed and the absolute lack of demand for accomplishing goal in the license acquirement course makes us feel suspicious of efficiency. As a result of it, more systematic programs in order to set up the clear education goal and attain the education goal needed to be provided. Some Chinese Character and Writing Education Programs are related to the regular education course, and the others are respectively independent programs. Systemized programs can be said to faithfully perform the role of Chinese Character and Writing in terms of Social Education. However, in case of some programs, the possibility of revision in the Instruction Application can be found. If we complete some deficiencies, it will play a remarkable role in the supplement of regular education. Even though social education is offered to individual and groups as an immediate value for the individual and community life, going beyond the restriction of time and space, the realistic circumstance to complement the regular curriculum course cannot be overlooked. Therefore, instructors and learners who are concerned in the education should seek for the direction which can establish practical value through understanding of Chinese Writing and the system of Curriculum Contents and Chinese character and Writing learning.
