한국어 초록

동해안지역 청동기시대 무덤은 지석묘, 석관묘, 석곽묘, 주구묘, 토광묘, 묘역지석묘 등 다양하게 확인된다. 하지만 남한지역의 다른 지역과 마찬가지로 청동기시대 조기, 즉 돌대문토기단계에 속하는 무덤은 아직 확인되지 않았다. 또한 조사된 취락 내 주거지 숫자에 비해 무덤 조사수는 극히 적은 편이다. 동해안지역 청동기시대 무덤의 입지는 대부분 낮은 구릉에 입지하며, 일부 충적대지에서 확인되는데, 동시대 취락의 입지 경향과 대동소이한 양상을 보이고 있다. 영동지역 양양 송전리에서 발견된 토광묘 1기는 사구지대에 자리 잡고 있는데 이러한 입지는 극히 예외적이라고 할 수 있다. 동해안지역 청동기시대의 가장 이른 단계에 등장하는 무덤은 토광묘이다. 영동지역 양양 송전리 토광묘, 울산 굴화리 토광묘에서는 삼각만입촉, 유혈구이단병식석검 등이 출토되어 청동기시대 전기 중엽에 편년된다. 반면 포항 삼정리 토광묘에서는 단도마연토기와 방추차, 울산 모듈화산업단지에서는 이단병식석검과 일단경촉이 출토되어 전기 전반으로 편년된다. 석관묘는 동해안지역에서 가장 많이 조사된 무덤이다. 토광묘와 비슷한 전기 중엽에 등장하여 원형점토 대토기 단계인 청동기시대 후기 까지 지속적으로 축조된다. 석관묘는 원형점토대토기 단계인 청동기시대 후기에 이르면 점차 소형화되며, 석관의 형태도 정연하지 못하다. 송현리 B유적을 포함한 영동지역의 석관묘와 포항 학천리 석관묘가 이 시기의 무덤에 해당하며, 유물은 마제석검, 석착, 검파두식 등이 출토된다. 석곽묘는 경주지역 문산리 유적에서만 확인된다. 유물은 일단병식 석검이 출토되어, 청동기시대 중기 후반으로 편년된다. 주구묘의 평면형태는 세장방형과 장방형, 방형으로 구분된다. 세장(장)방형 주구묘는 전기 후엽으로, 방형은 전기 후엽~중기후엽으로 편년된다. 울산지역 주구묘는 장방형에서 방형으로 변화하고, 매장주체부는 토광(목관)의 구조를 가지는 것이 특징이다. 지석묘는 동해안지역에서 제일 많이 분포하고 있는 무덤이지만 실제 발굴조사된 지석묘가 적어 정확한 시기설정이 어려운 상황이나, 동해안지역에 지석묘가 도입되어 축조되던 시점은 타 지역과 유사한 것으로 판단된다. 동해안지역의 지석묘는 많은 수가 조사되지 않았지만 묘역시설이 확인되지 않고 독립적 분포양상을 보이고 있는 것이 특징이며, 축조규모나 형태 등으로 보아 자체적인 발전양상은 미비하고, 타 지역과 마찬가지로 점토대토기 단계까지 존속하다가 소멸해 버린 것으로 판단된다. 최근 경주와 울산지역에서 묘역지석묘가 확인되고 있어 경남지방 묘역지석묘와의 비교검토가 이루어져야 하며, 울산 산하동유적과 경주 어일리 유적 등 해안에 인접해 위치한 유적을 중심으로 조사예가 증가하고 있는 주구형 유구에 대한 성격규명도 좀 더 자료증가를 기다리며 추가적인 검토가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

영어 초록

For tombs from the Bronze Age in the eastern coast area, various tombs including dolmens, stone coffin tombs, stone-lined tombs, graves surrounded by a ditch and coffin tombs have been confirmed. But, any tomb from the early Bronze Age, that is the Pot with clay stripe stage, hasn’t been confirmed yet in the eastern coast just as any other places in South Korea. And also, the number of tombs confirmed is significantly smaller than the number of residential areas in the settlement investigated. Most of tombs from the Bronze Age in the eastern coast area are located in low hill sites and some are confirmed from alluvial sites, showing substantial identity with the trend in the location of settlements in the same period. only coffin tomb discovered in Yongong area is located at a sand hill in Songjeon-Ri, which is a exceptional case. The type of tomb appeared in the earliest time among tombs from the Bronze Age in the eastern coast of Korea is a coffin tomb. triangle curve in arrowheads and double stepped-hilt dagger with were excavated from coffin tombs at Songjeon-Ri, Yangyang in Yeongdong area and Gulhwa-Ri, Ulsan, recoding these tombs at the middle stage of the Early Bronze Age chronologically. On the other hand, red burnished bowl, and spindle whorl were excavated from coffin tombs at Samjeong-Ri, Pohang and and were excavated from the Modularization Industrial Complex in Ulsan, recording these tombs at the latter stage of the Early Bronze Age chronologically. Stone coffin tombs are the tombs most confirmed in the eastern coast area. This type of tomb started appearing from the middle of the Early Bronze Age as similarly coffin tomb and had been built continuously until the Late Bronze Age which was the round clay-stripe earthenware stage. Stone coffin tombs gradually became smaller in the Late Bronze Age which was the round clay-stripe earthenware stage and the shape of stone coffin became uneven. Stone coffin tombs in Yeongdong area and stone coffin tombs in Hakcheon-Ri, Pohang including B historic site at Songhyun-Ri fall under the tombs from this Age, and dagger pommel fittings of bronze dagger were excavated as artifacts. Stone-lined tombs were confirmed only from the site at Munsan-Ri, Gyeongju area. stepped-hilt dagger was excavated as artifacts from these tombs, recording these tombs at the latter stage of the Mid Bronze Age chronologically. The plan type of a grave surrounded by a ditch is classified into long rectangular, rectangular and square types. Long rectangular (rectangular) graves surrounded by a ditch are recorded chronologically at the second half of the Early Bronze Age, and square graves surrounded by a ditch are recorded chronologically at the second half of the Early Bronze Age to the first half of the Mid Bronze Age. The characteristics of graves surrounded by a ditch in Ulsan area are the shape of graves being changed from the rectangular shape to the square shape and the main part of burial having the shape of coffin (wooden coffin). dolmens are the tombs distributed the most in the eastern coast area, but not many dolmens have been excavated and confirmed so that it is difficult to set the accurate time for its introduction, however, dolmens are considered to be introduced in the eastern coast of area at similar time with other areas. Not a large number of dolmens were confirmed in the eastern coast area, but the characteristics of dolmen are that its actual grave has not been confirmed and the dolmens are distributed independently, and according to its size and shape, this type of tomb had not been developed significantly, continued to exist until the clay-stripe earthenware stage just as in other areas and became extinct.
