본 연구는 예비 유아교사의 다문화 교수능력에 문화성향, 다문화 감수성 및 다문화 교육태도가 미치는
영향을 알아보고, 문화성향과 다문화 교수능력의 관계에서 다문화 감수성 및 다문화 교육태도의 매개효
과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 예비 유아교사 252명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 첫째,
예비 유아교사의 문화성향은 다문화 교수능력에 영향을 미쳤으며, 문화성향의 하위변인의 영향력은 수평
적 개인주의, 수직적 집단주의, 수평적 집단주의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비 유아교사의 다문화 감수성
은 다문화 교수능력에 영향을 미쳤으며, 다문화 감수성의 하위변인 중 문화차이 존중도가 가장 높은 영향
력을 갖고 있고, 두 번째로 상호작용 주의도가 높은 영향력을 나타냈다. 셋째, 예비 유아교사의 다문화 교
육태도는 다문화 교수능력에 영향을 미쳤으며, 다문화 교육태도의 하위변인의 영향력은 다문화 교육에서
교사의 역할에 대한 태도, 유아교육기관의 다문화적 환경에 대한 태도, 다문화 교사교육에 대한 태도 순
으로 나타났다. 넷째, 문화성향과 다문화 교수능력의 관계에서 다문화 감수성은 부분 매개효과를 나타냈
다. 다섯째, 문화성향과 다문화 교수능력의 관계에서 다문화 교육태도는 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 본
연구결과를 통하여 문화성향, 다문화 감수성, 다문화 교수효능감이 다문화 교수능력에 미치는 직접적 영
향을 확인하였으며, 문화성향과 다문화 교육태도의 관계에서 다문화 감수성 및 다문화 교육태도의 부분
매개효과를 검증함으로써 다문화 감수성 및 다문화 교육태도의 교육적 중재의 중요성을 제시하였다.

영어 초록

This study examined how multicultural sensitivity and multicultural attitude influence
the relationship between cultural orientation and multicultural teaching competence.
Survey data from 252 early childhood preservice teachers were collected and analyzed.
The result of this study are as follows. First, early childhood preservice teachers’
cultural orientation influenced multicultural teaching competence. Among cultural
orientation’s subvariables, horizontal individualism was the most influential predictor of
multicultural attitude, and vertical collectivism and horizontal collectivism respectively.
Second, early childhood preseervice teachers’ multicultural sensitivity influenced
multicultural teaching competency. Among multicultural sensitivity’s subvariables,
respect for cultural differences and interaction attentiveness were the most influential
predictor of multicultural teaching competency. Third, early childhood preservice
teachers’ multicultural teaching attitude influenced multicultural teaching competence.
Among multicultural teaching attitude’s subvariables, attitude about teacher’s role was
the most influential predictor of multicultural teaching competence, and attitude about
multicultural enviornment, and attitude about multicultural teacher education respectively.
Fourth, multicultural sensitivity has partial mediating effect in relation
between cultural orientation and multicultural teaching competence. Finally, multicultural
attitude has partial mediating effect in relation between cultural orientation and
multiculutral teaching competence. This study confirmed the mediated effects of
multicultural sensitivity and multicultural attitude on the relationship of cultural
orientation and multicultural teaching attitude. Such results of this study addressed the
importance of educational intervention of multicultural sensitivity and multicultural
teaching attitude.
