Purpose: This study is descriptive research using a self-report questionnaire to identify the relationship between recognitionof geriatric hospital nurse for medical institution certification, job stress, job satisfaction and turnover intention. Method:
Data collection for this study was from February 5, 2015 to April 30, subjects were enrolled nurses working in 5 geriatric
hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Results: First, Medical institution certification recognition, job stress, job satisfaction
and turnover intention showed a significant difference depending on age, education, marital status, clinical experience,
job title, work department and medical institution evaluation preparing experience. Secondly, the age showed a
significant positive correlation with expectation the improvement of medical quality, job satisfaction and turnover intention
and showed a significant negative correlation with medical institution certification recognition. In clinical experience, there
was a significant positive correlation with job satisfaction, was not a correlation with medical institution certification recognition,
expectation the improvement of medical quality, job stress, turnover intention. Third, the factors that have the greatest
impact on turnover intention of nurse were job satisfaction, the next was job stress. The study showed that job stress
has a positive impact on turnover intention, expectation the improvement of medical quality and job satisfaction were
found to have a negative impact. Conclusion: Hospital managers should manage carefully to avoid the rise of job stress
of nurses. If they raise the satisfaction of the job by seeking ways to give clear motivation through organizational support
and to improve morale, I am sure that the performance of specific organizations, such as turnover reduction of nurses or
the organization of solidarity can contribute to the development of an organization.
