본 연구는 Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램이 부모의 자아존중감, 일치성 및 청소년 자녀의 자
아존중감에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지를 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 부산광역시 소재 교회
중 생활환경이 유사한 2개 교회를 선정하였다. 그 교회에 출석하는 교인 중 부모교육프로그램에 참여
하기를 희망하는 청소년의 자녀를 둔 부부 21쌍, 42명과 청소년 자녀 21명을 대상으로 하였다. 실험도
구로 부모 및 모(母)를 대상으로 한 Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램을 주1회 2시간씩 8회에 걸
쳐 실시하였다. Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램의 진행은 강의, 그룹 토의, 개인 소감나누기 등의
방법으로 진행되었다. 측정도구로 자아존중감 검사와 일치성 검사를 연구에 참여하는 부모들에게 실시
했고, 청소년 자녀는 자아존중감 검사만 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 주요 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램은 부모 및 청소년 자녀의 자아존중감 향상에 효과가 있
다.
둘째, Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램은 부부를 대상으로 한 집단과 모(母)만을 대상으로 한 집
단 간에 자아존중감 향상에 차이가 없다.
셋째, Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램은 부부의 일치성 향상에 효과가 있다.
넷째, Satir모델기반 성장부모교육프로그램은 부부를 대상으로 한 집단이 모(母)만을 대상으로 한 집
단보다 일치성 향상에 더 효과적이다.

영어 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a Satir-model- based growth and parent
education program on the self-esteem and congruency of parents and children's self-esteem. The
subjects in this study were 42adults and 21teens who were selected from among the members of
two selected churches in the city of Busan. The selected adults were 21 married couples who
had teenaged children, and 21 adolescents were their children. Out of them, seven couples were
selected as experimental group 1, and seven couples were selected as experimental group 2. As
for the experimental group 1, both of the husbands and wives participated in a parent education
program geared toward married couples together. As to the experimental group 2, just mothers
participated in a parent education program geared toward mothers. The other seven couples were
selected as a control group. Those who didn't receive parent education took a pretest and a
posttest as well.
Concerning data analysis, statistical data on mean and standard deviation of dependent
variables by testing time and group were obtained, and two-way ANOVA was carried out. The
major findings of the study were as follows: First, the programs were found to be effective at
boosting the self-esteem of the parents and of the children. First, the Satir-model-based growth
and parent education programs were found to be effective at boosting the self-esteem of the
parents and of the children. Second, the programs were found to be equally effective at
improving self-esteem, no matter whether both of the husbands and wives participated in the
program or just the mothers did that. Third, the programs were found to be effective at bolstering
the congruency of the married couples. Fourth, the program in which both of the husbands and wives participated together was found to have a better effect on the improvement of congruency.
