본 연구는 시각장애학생과 정안학생의 텐덤싸이클 활동에 대한 인식과 텐덤싸이클을 활용한 통합체육
수업 후 반응을 살펴보기 위해 지원자표집에 의해 선정된 전북지역 시각장애학교 중학생 6명(남 5명, 여
1명)과 고등학생 4명(남 2명, 여 2명) 그리고 전주지역 일반중학교 학생 10명(남 3명, 여 7명)에게 텐덤
싸이클 활동 인식조사와 면담을 실시하였고, 수집된 자료를 통해 얻어낸 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 텐덤
싸이클에 대해 시각장애학생과 정안학생 모두 텐덤싸이클에 관련된 활동을 위한 기술이나 지식을 배우고
싶다고 하였으며, 시각장애학생은 ‘텐덤싸이클 타는 법’과 ‘텐덤싸이클 구성 요소’를, 정안학생은 ‘안전 교육’, ‘텐덤싸이클 타는 법’ 그리고 ‘텐덤싸이클 시연 및 체험’을 중요 요소로 선택했다. 둘째, 텐덤싸이클을 활
용한 통합체육수업은 참여 학생들의 텐덤싸이클 구조 및 원리에 대한 기본 지식의 습득과 시각장애학생
들에 대한 인식개선, 체력증진, 폐활량 향상 및 스트레스해소 등에 도움이 되었다.
이상의 결과는 텐덤싸이클을 활용한 통합체육수업이 정안학생의 장애인식 개선과 참가학생의 체력향상
및 스트레스 해소 등의 기회를 제공할 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

영어 초록

This study is a research on the inclusive physical education of the visually
impaired students and sighted students utilizing tandem cycle and the study objects
were 6 students from a middle school for the visually impaired (5 males and 1 female)
and 4 students from a high school for the visually impaired(2 males and 2 females) in
Jeonbuk region and 10 students from a general middle school in Jeonju region selected
through candidates. Sampling and the data collection was made through the
investigation of the awareness of the tandem cycle activity and interviews.
The conclusions according to the study problem are as follows.
First, both the visually impaired students and the sighted students said that they
wanted to learn the technology or knowledge for the activities related to the tandem cycle
and the visually impaired student chose how to ride the tandem cycle and components of
tandem cycle as important factors and the sighted students chose safety education, how to
ride the tandem cycle and demonstration and experience of tandem cycle.
Second, the inclusive physical education utilizing tandem cycle helped the students
to learn about basic knowledge about the structure and principle of tandem cycle,
improved the awareness about visually impaired students and helped improvement of
stamina, improvement of lung capacity and stress reduction.
The results so far imply that performing and distributing actively the tandem cycle
activities as the inclusive physical education that visually impaired students and sighted
students can do together can improve the awareness about visually impaired people by
the sighted students and provide to all the participants the opportunity of improving
stamina and reducing stress.
