I am somewhat right-hemispheric dominant. I am visual, random, and impulsive and prefer sound and music background, frequent mobility. In order to be more whole-brained in the classroom context, the teacher needs to give equal weight between logic, detailed oriented, facts rule, words and language, and safe and feeling, big picture oriented, imagination rules, symbols and images, and risk taking. Furthermore, the teacher should use instruction techniques that connect with both sides of the brain. For example, when the teacher teaches adjectives, they can give the students the words and pictures at the same time. Furthermore, the teacher can bring some soft, cold, warm, sticky materials, and make the students touch them while they are describing verbally.

From sensory register to immediate memory
The sensory register decides what to enter into the brain when it encounters stimuli. This only happens after when the bottom three needs of Maslow’s hierarchy are satisfied. In case of safety and belongingness, the teacher should make sure the safe classroom that no one would laugh at anybody when he or she makes a mistake in their participation. Especially for ELLs, there are occasions that students speak English in front of the classroom. These activities would lead to a success when students feel a sense of safety and accepted by teachers and classmates.
