No, Lindy could not change the emphasis of her merchandising mix to increase the sales due to limited financial assets and it was quite impossible for her to expand her business without incorporating merchandising mix. Lindy’s Bridal Shoppe was located in Lake City and was the only store in this city, doing business in bridal gowns, prom gowns, accessories and silk flowers. This small bridal store was not only dealing in sales of bridal items but also offering men’s formal wear on rental basis as well as fitting and alteration of men’s wear. Lindy started this business with silk flowers. With the passage of time, she realized the progress of her business and adopted the strategy of merchandising mix by involving Dan and Karen to expand her business and increase the sales of her business.
