본문내용
When a Yale psychologist Stanley Milgram had experiments on obedience, his study was a very controversial issue. It wasn’t just about what he had experienced; it was also about how he had experienced. Some might say he was ingenious, but he was merely unethical. No one can live without any kind of authority in human society. In order to have obedience study, Milgram made huge unethical mistakes. He didn’t really care about subjects’ rights, took advantage of the lab environment, and didn’t have enough after care for his subjects.
First of all, Milgram didn’t much care about the subjects’ rights. “The subject has right to assume that his security and self-esteem will be protected,” Diana Baumrind says in her paper “Review of Stanley Milgram’s Experiments on Obedience” (372). In Milgram’s experiments, even though some of his subjects refused to keep what experimenter said, Milgram kept pushing the subjects. In Milgram’s paper “The Perils of Obedience”, some of the dialogue suggests that matter.
