What are some of the beneficial effects of international travel on an individual?
Those who consider much knowledge in the school the key to success might say that international travel is not necessary. However, I think people can get beneficial effects by doing international travel. There are three reasons: to learn cultural information first-hand, to make a good relationship abroad, and to escape from mundane routine.
First, international travel makes people learn other cultures first-hand, and not relyas traveling in Japan by herself, she told me that she was experiencing the most wonderful things. Before she traveled to Japan, she had some prejudices about Japan that she learned in history class. For example, Korea was colony, Koreans do not like Japan, or the Japanese are so cruel. When she went to Japan, she realized she did not know about Japan and she learned first-hand by walking and talking with some Japanese that the Japanese are friendly and the culture of Japan is unique.

Although some people might say that people can run into dangerous people such as robbers or highwaymen, people can see that some travelers who have troubles on their trip meet a good helper who later becomes a good friend. For example, Hanbiya, who is Korean, and was walking traveler in wild area such as Africa. When she was traveling, she got lost in Pakistan and she couldn’t find her way to the airport. She was also did not know anyone. I heard she was able to get to the airport safely because one Pakistani resident found her and he took her to the airport since they became friends. After then, Habiya has gone back to visit that village to meet him every year. I think she could make a lot of friends from the international travel not only him.
