1. 연구의 목적
We inspect any difficulties experienced by foreigners when they communicate with Korean and thinking about Korea manners.
Through this subject, I want you to know that it is not difficult to communicate with foreigners. It will broaden and deepen their understanding of the communication, while providing new perspectives.
2. 인터뷰 대상을 찾는 과정과 어려움
I had to interview alone, because the time didn`t fit with other friends. Since I had to interview alone, it was kind of tough to finish as I wanted.
First, I went to ‘U-Squire`. As I expected, many foreigners were there. I could not approach easily to foreigners. I tried to get an interview with one person. but he didn`t want to take a picture with me so I felt very embarrased. After I missed several chances, I took deep breathe and walked to the final target.
The woman whom I interviewed was taking picture around terminal. She looked little older than me. She had clear and beautiful skin and very high nose that Asians usually don`t have.
The most important thing was that she looked very kind so that I could ask easily. Finally, I tried to have conversation with her. I asked politely about the questions that I prepared and requested some help about my interview homework. she seemed little surprised and hesitated a little, but, consented immediately.
3. 인터뷰 내용
1. what is the purpose of visit to korea?
☞ The purpose of my visit to Korea is both to teach English to Korean students and to learn Korean as well. Moreover, I would like to learn about Korean economy and culture, since my major was economics in America.
2. What is the most difficult cultural thing you have had to adjust to in Korea? (manner)
☞ I was having a hard time to adjust to be in Korea because Korean people have lots of touching. I doesn`t like korean people pushing in subways or streets.
