1 Purpose of Lab
The purpose of this laboratory is to understand the behavior of linear 2nd order systems such as mechanical mass-spring-damper and electrical equivalent R-L-C system. We will study frequency responses of such systems with Bode plots.
2 Related Theorem
2.1 System modeling and analogies
Generally, systems composed with mechanical, electric, hydraulic and thermal or complexes with these systems can be represented with ordinary differential equation, especially about relation between it input and output. They has similar form, mathematically. So, if there are similar equations from other experiments, we call it analogies. Example of this, damper which is source of energy output in mechanical system and factor which preventing fluid flow like valve in hydraulic system are analogies with resistance in electric system.
Also, mass of mechanical system, hydraulic inertia and inductance of electric system are analogies, too. Because of this, it`s same problem analyze electric circuit and vibration system of mechanical. If we use this analogies well, we can design equivalent system easily and save a time and the cost.
