The reasons fo selecting case study of YKK are:1. Why there are so many YKK fasteners in our apparel and bags and luggages?
- We wondered the fastener market proportion of YKK, and we found they possess about 45% of their field. We thought it deserves to conduct research and study this corporation.
2. In spite of its nationality(Japan), how can YKK operate their own business well in Korea?
- Almost every Korean has the anti-Japanese attitude because of its particular historical facts. However, since the YKK established their subsidiary in Korea in 1977, this sub is playing a key basement of Asian fastener market. We wondered how they changed their perception of Korean and how they settled in korea in Korea.
With these reasons, we analyzed the factors that brought them a reputation as the first proportion ranker in the fastener market. So you can see the core competence of the company, and the strategies which played a key role when they entered Korea and the world.
