Young Male Drivers and Safety Driving
According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), at the end of 1999, there were 132 million passenger cars, and 75 million light trucks, for a total of 207 million vehicles; this means that about one out of every two people in the U.S. has his/her own car (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov). As numbers of vehicles increase, a car accident occurs about every five seconds, and a fatality occurs every thirteen minutes. Among them, a young person dies in a traffic crash an average of once every hour on weekends, and nearly once every two hours during the week. Especially, young male drivers cause fatal crashes (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov). They have physical and mental impairments to drive. For these reasons, they need new powerful restriction, and they should sense how dangerous driving is by them selves.
