EBM (Extrusion Blow Molding)
- The simplest type of blow molding
- A wide variety of shapes (including handleware), sizes and necks are available.
- Manufacturing mass production of relatively simple parts
: dairy containers, shampoo bottles, and hollow industrial parts such as drums (usually weight of greater than 12 oz).

IBM (Injection Blow Molding)
- More accurate and controllable process.
- The least-used method of the three blow molding processes because of the lower production rate.
- Suitable for smaller and complex containers and absolutely no handleware.
: Medical and cosmetic applications, single serve bottles (weight of less than 12 oz)

STM (Stretch Blow Molding)
- The plastic is first molded into a “preform” using the injection molding process.
- Reheating at above Tg and stretching in both the hoop and the axial directions.
