2.2 Sensors fit for line tracers
The most suitable sensor, in line tracer, is infrared radiation sensor. In this experiments, Line tracer must detect the line in the ground. Although there are various kinds of sensors, considering the performance, the price, and the special occasion where the design is for a line tracer, the optimal sensor is the infrared sensor. One of the most important criteria in choosing a sensor is the angle of emission and the angle of detection. Infrared sensors have visibly big lenses and emit, detect infrared light from the center.
Therefore, the angle between the two devices should be as small as possible. The line tracer we will be constructing, however, has sensors on the bottom of the sensor board to detect the line on the floor so that noise has relatively few influence, and the overall speed is slow as well so that the angles can be ignored.
