When top tier brands become so expensive that average_Joes can no longer afford, they become associated with class. Buying global brands is now a way to promote one`s status and social standing. Of course, we cannot rule out that many global brands tend to be more credible and fare better in the trust category than most local manufactures. However, more often than not, we buy global brands from overseas because they are more famous. Company realize the incentives global branding can bring and it has become the focal issue for many ambitious companies. With the help of globalization and standardization of market, combined with the advancement in information technology, it has become easier to establish global cultures. Korea has embraced and benefited tremendously from this marketing phenomenon. Samsung, Hyundai, LG have become major global brands and have emerged as leaders in their respective markets. These companies are extremely important to the Korean economy as they make up a major portion of Korean`s entire annual GDP. At the same time, trading partners of Korean also benefit from top tier quality products
