There he is given a mission to persuade the Navis to leave their homeland for humans to mine the natural resource called Unoptanum. For carrying out this task, human beings on Pandora developed an Avatar which looks exactly like the Navis. The situation of the movie is like this and it is popular for not only its plot but also for its use of cutting edge visual effects including 3D graphics. It appealed a huge number of moviegoers around the world. However, there is another significant aspect that many people might overlook. It is the hidden colonialism in the story.
