I. Attention/Introduction
A. Attention Getter. Water is an essential element in maintaining human life. People who are aware of their health must concern first about the water that they drink. As people gets interested in the risk of contamination of the water, according to Miguel, a researcher in the center for environmental risk in University of East Anglia in UK, the demand for bottled water has increased during the last decade. This trend has been observed worldwide, representing a market value $22billion. This trend has been contributed by the various reasons?taste, risk concern, and health.
C. Preview/Thesis. According to National Resources Defense Council, “there is no assurance that bottled water is any safer than tap water.” Today, I would like to talk about the misunderstanding about bottled water. As a preview, I’ll compare bottled water with tap water and refute the misunderstanding about bottled water. Then, I’ll suggest some solutions how to resolve the problems caused by drinking bottled water.
