소개글
Renovation of the Church 이라는 책과 Thinking in Systems 이라는 책에 대한 감상 및 비평입니다.

Kent Carlson and Mike Lueken, pastors of Oak Hills Church had not seen many new believers become a part of the church. When Kent attended Willow Creek Community Church, he got an idea about seeker-targeted services. The idea is to take the most convenient time in the week, Sunday morning, and dedicate it not to churched people but to the non-churched. It was “successful” outwardly. Lots of non-Christians visited the church and registered to be church members. But in a few years, there was something unhealthy sense among many of them in the leadership. They called it “Monster”. There were still many people, offerings, fellowship and interesting programs. The more the church was growing, the more pastors and staffs felt empty and exhausted. “We immersed ourselves in all the various church-growth strategies and kept analyzing how we could continue to attract new people and fold them into the life and ministry of the church.” Kent expressed it was “The Consequences of Consumerism.” When I saw this term, I noticed that he was going to criticize the current church system.
