Beats by Dr. Dre is a line of headphones developed by Dre and is inside the company Monster Cable. The original product was a high class type of headphone. Most headphones are very cheap, coming in around 10 or 20 dollars, and the belief from Monster and the developers of beats is that the sound quality suffers as well. They wanted Beats to sound like the sound is coming straight out of a studio. These aren’t supposed to be ordinary headphones, they’re supposed to be the best, have the highest quality sound, and be fashionable and stylish. Because of the high quality, it is also a more expensive product.
The original Beats headphones were successful, and because of this let the Beats brand expand its product line. Such products now available include over-ear and-in ear buds, separate artist series, Beat box, a stereo system designed to play iPods, and Beats Audio, which is not a product in and of itself, but is a partnership with HP computers to have their speakers be Beats, and to provide a computer listening experience unlike any other. The product that started out just as a high class headphone is growing to include more and more types of music listening options.
