1. What is memory
- Consumer memory - personal storehouse of knowledge about products and services, shopping and consumption experience.
- Retrieval - the process of remembering or accessing what we have stored in memory
2. Memory type
- Sensory: sensory experiences stored temporarily in memory / Echoic: 듣는거 / Iconic: 보는거
- Short term memory: The portion of memory where incoming information is encoded or interpreted in light of existing knowledge. (저장이 되기 시작하는 단계)
Discursive processing: 글자로 된 메모리
Imagery proccesing: 비쥬얼이나 사운드로 된 메모리 과정
- Short term memory의 특징: 1) limited: 한번에 제한된 양만 가질수 있다. 2) short-lived: 롱텀 메모리로 넘어가지 않는이상 지속력이 매우 짧음
- Long term memory: The part of memory where information is placed for later use; permanently stored knoledge
Autobiographical or episodic memory: Knowledge we have avout ourselves and our personal experiences.(아이큐나 글자에 관련된 것)
Semantic Memory: General knowledge about an entity, detached from specific episode
