Grisha Has Arrived Grisha
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whenever Grisha was expected in the apartment on Novosibirskaya Street, Babushka made some pirozhki filled with meat and cabbage.
She would put on her blue-checkered apron and seem instantly rejuvenated.
Little Inna would seal these pirozhki on a wooden board while Babushka presided over the boiling oil.
Their shabby, sooty kitchen suddenly became bright and cheerful.
In this way Grisha`s arrival became forever linked to an expectation of joyful festivity.
