To understand genetic transformation performing production of biochemicalmutant and specific character analysis by using bacteria as model system of transformation.
3. Introduction
○ Definition of transformation and similar terms
In molecular biology transformation is the genetic alteration of a cell resulting from the direct uptake, incorporation and expression of exogenous genetic material (exogenous DNA) from its surrounding and taken up through the cell membrane(s). Transformation occurs most commonly in bacteria and in some species occurs naturally

① Spread Competent(DH5α) 200ul into sterilized 1.5ml tube.
* Beforehand, Incubate plate at 37℃.
② Add DNA sample(10ul at below 50ng concentration)at each sample.
③ Tapping well each sample and Let them for about 20~30 minutes at ice box.
* Stay cool state for promoting efficiency of cell`s transformation.
④ Put the samples into the rack(Heating block Water bath) and heat shock
at 42℃ for 90sec.
* Instead, in lab, we rubbed quickly our hands and raised hands` temperature.
