1.1 Introduction to Disney theme parks
Disneyland is a theme park operated by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Disneyland is deeply tied to the history of Disney movies, history of USA and the fascinations of modern technology. Walt Disney‘s experience visiting various amusement parks with his daughters became main reason for coming up with the concept of Disneyland. Disney dreamed of establishing a park where people of all ages and sexes could enjoy.
On July 17, 1955 the first Disneyland park was opened, in Anaheim, California and attendance of 1955 was a million. In 1971, Walt Disney World Resort, which was 100 times bigger than Disneyland was opened in Orlando, Florida. It was the biggest theme park in the world with 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, 32 theme hotels and resorts and many places for shopping and entertainment. Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, near Tokyo was opened on April 15, 1983 and it was the first Disney park to be built outside the United States.
