Digital distribution leader in the 21st century
Hi-Mart, which is No.1 specialty electronics distribution company in the country, accomplished sale of 3 trillion firstly. Since their first start in 2000, they have overtaken the competitors, Samsung, LG, and maintained their top place with the sale of 3 trillion 46 billion and the operating profit of 214 billion. Having about 350 stores and being No.1 in market share, they reported 9.5% growth of sales annually from 2007 to 2011.
Fresh start with Lotte as Lotte Hi-Mart
In this way that two leaders in distribution industry, Hi-Mart and Lotte Shopping, become dinosaur of home appliance with the annual sale of 4 trillion 370 billion, business world are focusing attention on their future.
Their sale of home appliance is about 5 trillion together. Considering the scale of domestic home appliance is about 10 trillion, they take about 50% of the market share at one time. It is expected that if they expand their business to Asia, their control of home appliance will be much bigger.
