본문내용
Kant’s philosophy is revolutionary in bringing properties which has been thought to be in object-level to subjective-level without changes in the existing world or ontology. This is sometimes called a Copernican revolution in philosophy. This transition was to make philosophy more coherent to common sense and to refute unreasonable philosophical doctrines. Although Hume tried a similar transition in his philosophy, he came to arrive in scepticism, because he could not find the accessibility to the existence of the external world through our faculties. Unlike him, Kant accepts the existence of the external world, not just pragmatically, but through our reliable experience. While his Copernican revolution was generally successful, however, his theory faces some difficulties in harmonizing his idealist and realist thoughts.
