본문내용
There is a famous saying, “Penny wise, pound foolish.” Consider the penny as the electricity generated from nuclear power plants and the foolish pound as the waste of human life and environment destroyed by nuclear power. Do you realize that you are being exposed to the same danger which killed and wounded thousands of people and destroyed Chernobyl and Fukushima? Nowadays, almost forty percent of Korea’s entire electricity is produced from nuclear power plants (HanSuWon, 2014). Even though these plants produce most of the electricity used in Korea, there is a debate on letting them continue to operating. Some people insist that nuclear power plants, which play a significant role in the country’s economy, must remain running. According to economists and ecologists, the use of nuclear power is dangerous to human safety and life (KimYoungDo, 2014). This essay will propose that what are the false ideas people usually have on nuclear power, and why nuclear power plants should be closed down.
