KINTEX is Korea's largest and newest international exhibition and convention venue as well as a joint investment among KOTRA, Gyeonggi provincial government and Goyang city, which was purpose-built to resolve the issues of event space shortage in Korea and to internationalize Korea's exhibition industry.

In total, there are 12 exhibition & convention centers in domestic. The COEX, SETEC and aT Center are located in Seoul. Both of KINTEX and SongdoConvensia lie in Gyeonggi Province. Also, BEXCO based in Busan and CECO based in Changwon. The EXCO is located in Daegu. In Daejeon, there are DCC and KOTREX. The ICC JEJU is situated in Jeju and KDJ Center lie in Gwangju. The table lists the scale of exhibition & convention centers in domestic. This table shows KINTEX is the largest convention center with about 121,786m2 than other convention centers in domestic.
