. One of the problems in the U.S. health care system is the financial relationship between doctors and pharmaceutical companies, which may harm the patients with the increased drug prices and overprescribed drugs. This interaction needs to be regulated by the fair implementation of the health care reform laws such as Physician Payment Sunshine Act and drug prices regulation. The opponents may argue that this interaction is necessary to provide proper information of medicine to doctors, and drug prices regulation hinders the free-market economy. However, other reliable medical associations will be able to play an alternative role of education or they can be included in the program, and the drug prices regulation will also help the drug companies reduce unnecessary promotion costs and focus more on research.

To make sure this relationship is under control and beneficial to the patients, the laws to regulate this interaction need to be implemented fairly. The Physician Payment Sunshine Act is enacted as one of the health care reform laws which have been led by President Obama to regulate it.
