본문내용
1. Objective of Experiment
- To know about the basic concepts related to the experiment such as semiconductor, diode, transistor and so on.
- To know the fundamentals of bipolar junction transistor (BJT) and its characteristics in active region.
- To know the collector current by varying and the common-emitter current gain () in the active region.
- To know the application of BJT in the cut-off and saturation region as a LED driver.
- To know the BJT base and collector currents, and , as a switching circuit.
2. Theory
2.1. Semiconductor; n-type & p-Type
A semiconductor is a solid whose electrical conductivity is in between that of a metal and that of an insulator, and can be controlled over a wide range, either permanently or dynamically. Semiconductors are tremendously important technologically and economically. Silicon is used to create the most semiconductors commercially but dozens of other materials are used as well.
