A lonely child sitting in front of the computer alone waiting for their parents to come- It is a scene that can be easily seen at today's homes. Increasing number of children who spend their childhood with appliances rather than their family is due to the compressive modernization of Korea changed the family relationship, the number of family members, and the family composition. As people becoming more and more ego-centric going through industrialization and modernization, Korea nowdays has changed a lot compared to the traditional family. People today consider themselves and their career the most important thing than their families or neighbors. Additionally, changes of attitude toward marriage and having a baby accelerated the transformation of Korean family in many aspects: The relationship among family members, The number of family members, and composition of household. However, although some people think it's the positive phenomenon in accordance with the social changes, modern Korean family is loosing some strong points of traditional family such as strong bond among family members, indirect experience of society with a large number of family and the opportunities for children to learn lots of things from their grand parents.
