본문내용
Introduction
Bangladesh is divided into seven administrative divisions: Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Sylhet. Each division is divided into zilas, and each zila into upazilas. Each urban area in an upazila is divided into wards, and into mohallas within a ward; a rural area in the upazila is divided into union parishads (UP) and mouzas within an UP. These divisions allow the country as a whole to be easily separated into rural and urban areas.
Health is one of the fundamental rights of human being, and the Government has a constitutional obligation to ensure public health to all citizens. Therefore health, population, and nutrition are among the most urgent development issues of the Government of Bangladesh (HPNSDP, 2011-16).
According to WHO Definition, "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”
Since independence, Bangladesh has made tremendous progress in health and development.
